Isla

Isla the mermaid was a project completed for my senior thesis to obtain my BA in Art Practice in 2014 from Saint Mary's College of California. Through this project, I attempted to capture the process of creating an original character from initial sketches to final design. The project culminates in a 3 piece finally created from cut and layered paper to bring this 2-dimensional character into a 3-dimensional space.
